This Orange Collard Smoothie is a great way to start the day and make you glow, energizing your every cell. Colors: deep green, orange, purple. These are the colors you want to gravitate toward when looking for energizing foods. These are the ones that have the most nutrients in them. After consuming a smoothie such as ones with Collards or Kale or Spinach, you’ll be skipping through your day and wonder where all this newfound energy came from. How would that feel?
If you haven’t embarked on a healthy eating program yet and you want to start, this is one of the easiest ways to do it. Just think of new beginnings. A dark green smoothie to start your day. You’ll be well on your way to consuming the recommended 9 – 12 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. You couldn’t really consume that much unless you incorporated them into a smoothie such as this one or a very large salad.
Plus, it’s fun. And not very time consuming either. Whip a few fruits and veggies out, plop them in the blender and voila! That’s your meal of the morning. Orange Collard Smoothies such as this one even travel well. Have one before you leave the house and put the rest in a covered jar as you leave for work and enjoy a mid-morning snack.
Optimum health. That’s what we all want and deserve. Let’s go for it. Every cell in your body will thank you.
